Most web sites get made over, rebuilt, redesigned, so I thought why not show how they used to be.
Below are the same web sites from the main page either in original form or from before last update (depends if I kept the originals).

Started out as an add-on to the mschat help site. It was hosted on several free servers, xoom (nbci), crosswinds and even as a sub folder on munchtech.com until it got it's own domain name.
The top image is the very first version, the bottom is the second, unfortunately I know longer have all the graphics for it.
As you can see, it has come along way since it's creation. |
This site is kind of still on it's first version. The layout is the same but the background has gone from black to off-white.
I haven't done any models for a while but I hope to get some done soon so I can add some more photos of my models and projects. |

This was my very first site; looking back it brings memories but wouldn't hold up to well in todays standards.
The top image is the very first site while the bottom image is the 3rd layout (I think - it's dated '99).
It was full of things that moved and made sounds and used big graphics, different colours, everything centered ... everything I now teach you not to do.
It was a very popular site in its day, still is. Back then I had a 14.4k modem, I'm surprised it actually loaded. The first version I used clipart/freeware stuff, after that I made all my own graphics. |
I can't remember if this was the first or second layout, all the files were last modified in '01 so could be the first.
This site started out with a couple of pictures. I remember when it reached over a 1000 pictures as I had to edit every page (3 times) and back then every image had it's own page (now is run off database).
This would be my second oldest site and am very proud of that fact the layout is table based that adjusts to suit the picture, I had many 'pros' ask (or look) how I did this site. |

comic wavsThis is a site I had along side the mschat site. It was one big wav site, offering over 5000 .wav files.
Because of the large selection it was very hard to keep this site on free web servers. I was often kicked off places like xoom (nbci), crosswinds etc as the site drew to many people and can see now the bandwidth must of been huge.
I put this site in code heaven around '00 |
Busy Kiwi DesignsEveryone loves making graphics, and since I loved making web sites as well, why not offer web sets people can use on their sites.
It's actually the only site I've ever had that relied on JavaScript to run it.
This site was also hosted on free sites and because of the many graphic sets on offer was often shut down. I finally gave up trying in '01.
Maybe one day I'll put life back into it's code. |
